Having experienced major burnout and contracting shingles twice before the age of 30, I knew that something had to change in my life. I was going through job loss, my parents were getting divorced after over 35 years together, and I was pregnant with my first child. The environment for stress was ripe and it wasn’t about to get any easier bringing motherhood into the equation.
With the right tools, strategies and mindset in place, I can genuinely say that I’m less stressed now as a mother of two and an entrepreneur than ever before.
Is money any easier? Not always – remember, I’m an entrepreneur which means no stability. Is motherhood any easier? Heck no – I have a tantruming toddler and my daughter is getting six teeth at once. Are my relationships any easier? When I set solid boundaries, yes, but that doesn’t stop conflict from arising.
The situations don’t change, but I have changed. And you can too.
